Community service campaigns

A free space to share real causes: animal rescue, wildlife shelters and medical aid. Raíces promotes the campaign; the money never passes through us.

Before applying

Which documents we ask for

We verify every campaign before publishing it to protect both donors and organizers.

Rescue and wildlife

Animal rescue associations and shelters

  • A valid legal ID (cédula jurídica) and registration with Costa Rica's National Registry.
  • Wildlife shelters also need the corresponding SINAC / MINAE permits.

Medical aid

Surgeries or procedures abroad

  • An official medical opinion, signed and stamped by a specialist registered with Costa Rica's College of Physicians and Surgeons, explaining why the procedure has to take place abroad.
  • A bank account (IBAN) in the name of the direct beneficiary, their legal guardian if a minor, or a regulated foundation. Third-party accounts without a provable family relationship are not accepted.

Raíces only promotes the campaign. We do not collect money, process payments or manage funds: the contact buttons lead to the organizers' official WhatsApp, and the donation happens outside this site.

How to write it

A clear campaign answers four questions

Short and transparent: whoever reads it should understand within a minute who they are helping.

Visual care

How the images should look

We want the site to invite people to help, not drive them away. An image that shows hope does more for a campaign than one that shocks.

  • No open wounds, surgeries in progress, extreme malnutrition or explicit abuse on the cover.
  • The main photo shows the animal or person in a clean, controlled setting, focused on recovery.
  • At least 1200 × 630 px, well lit, in WebP format.

Duration

15 days

Each campaign runs for 15 days at most and is then removed automatically. If you need more time, ask for an extension and explain why.

Leave your contact details, the relevant documents and a short description. Our team reviews them and replies before publishing anything.

What happens next

Your application reaches us by email with the files. We review it and reply to that same email before publishing anything.

The accuracy of the information, the use of the funds and the legal permits are the sole responsibility of whoever creates the campaign. We reserve the right to remove any campaign, without prior notice, if we suspect fraud, find inappropriate language or see our visual guidelines ignored.
